A Message from our Chairman

It is with great regret that it has been decided that the 2021 Glastonbury Pilgrimage will not take place.  Because of continued uncertainties and anxieties caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, it is recognized that pilgrims may be placed in difficulties if we ask them to travel to Glastonbury and gather for an event where others will also gather, potentially putting all at risk.  At this stage, it is unclear what Government regulations will be in place by the summer which will govern travel and larger gatherings.  As with other scheduled festivals and devotional events such as the Walsingham National Pilgrimage which have been either cancelled or scaled down, and alongside the cancellation of the RC Glastonbury Pilgrimage which was due to take place the same weekend as ours, we have taken this decision, hoping and praying for better times and the joyful reunion of friends and pilgrims in the future.  It is hoped that our next Pilgrimage will be on Saturday 9th July 2022.

In the meantime, we very much hope that you will join us for a Pilgrimage Mass on
Saturday 10th July 2021 which will be available from that day via this website.
Further details will follow on the website.

I greet you all fraternally in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Son of God and Son of Mary, asking you to join in this prayer:

May the Lord keep us safe and true to our faith in God’s merciful love.
May Our Lady of Glastonbury pray for us, and draw us together once more to worship her Son at Glastonbury, whose stones have been hallowed by the prayers and praises of countless pilgrims down the ages.

X Roger Jupp
